…is the day that Nicholas and I are getting married! I decided to throw all of the crazy decisions and stress aside and do exactly what we wanted to from the very beginning. We are having a small peaceful evening ceremony right on the beach. Only my immediate family will be there and I am very excited! Nicholas and I went and picked up our wedding bands today and the nerves have started.
The ceremony is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Saturday. We will be picking up my flowers (blue and lavender hydrangeas) that morning and going out to dinner after the ceremony. Nicholas and I are planning to take a night away from home and stay at a hotel for our wedding night..we aren’t planning our honeymoon until jan/feb 2010 so it will be a nice change of pace (we moved up our wedding a whole year, so we had to push some things back).
I’m very excited and I cannot wait to be Mrs.Nicholas. <3
I’ve always had a thing for vampires but when the whole Twilight saga thing came out, I didn’t really get into it. I thought it was kind of lame actually.
In my spare time I ended up reading the Twilight novel and suprisingly, I loved it. The story wasn’t too supernatural or crazy and I was pleasantly surprised. As soon as we got home I ran and rented the movie and I just want to say:
WHY CAN’T THEY EVER TAKE A FANTASTIC NOVEL AND MAKE A FANTASTIC MOVIE?! Is it really that challenging?
Basically the script is already written..and yet, somehow they all get screwed up.
I was watching the Twilight DVD and I was confused and upset that they changed the timeline and some of the situations.
Overall I suppose the story was the same, but the book was 10000000X better.
I’ve been so overwhelming busy for the past few weeks.
I just got back from vacationing in New York and visiting a lot of my family. I hadn’t seen them in almost 6 years and Nicholas only knew a few of them.
</begin trip rundown;>
I started to get really detailed and type out this really long post and then I realized it just wasn’t that exciting and I had some laundry to do, lol. So all in all, we were out of town for 10 days.
We visited:
Nicholas met the rest of my family that he hadn’t met yet and the general consensus was that he is a really great guy (yay!) and we decided that we didn’t want a big wedding like we were originally planned…we are opting for a simple oceanfront ceremony in the next few weeks.
It’s about damn time!
We left a day early last week and made it to SC in one trip. 27 hours of driving. I’m surprised and ecstatic that we were able to do it. Megabyte was a saint and the trip itself was incident free.
::side note:: We used a Penske rental truck to move all of our stuff. If you plan to move, I would 100% recommend them over UHaul. The truck was less expensive, easier to load, better gas mileage and was so much more comfortable. If you reserve your truck online you also get a 10% discount.
Anywho, we are back in action in SC. We are still trying to get everything settled into our place and remember how to get from here to there. Its amazing how after not driving somewhere for so long you loose a bit of your sense of direction.

::side note:: I went to the DMV yesterday to register my car and renew my driver’s license. First off, turns out that somehow a tax bill slipped through the cracks and i owed $158 for a car that was totaled over a year ago; so i ended up spending three times what I thought on my car taxes..egh. Then I get to the DMV and everything goes fine. I got a new plate (I like the old SC ones better), everything is registered (after I spent another $75..egh) and then comes trying to renew my drivers license. Its already a South Carolina driver’s license, but they need me to prove residency. I brought along that government letter from the USPS saying “Thank you for your change of address…” and so on. THEY WOULDN’T TAKE THAT. You know what they wanted? A Vitamin World coupon postcard with the little yellow forwarding sticker at the bottom…
So let me get this straight, you don’t want the government mandated form..you want the little yellow sticker?
I will be off to the DMV again this morning with my little SHAPE magazine renewal envelope with the little yellow sticker and another $25 lost for a renewal.

Oooh. We are spending the day @ the beach today. I will be sunburned fo shizzle, but I can’t complain, I mean we are at the beach! I tried on old bathing suits—wasn’t that a sight—but again, I’m over it and ready to go.
